This kit repairs or replaces the little hammer that pops up from the handle to move the plunger along. If your ratchet is not responding the little piston head and spring is most likely "frozen" by corrosion.

You can try to disassemble it by removing the screw and cleaning the parts and resetting, but that doesn't always work. The next step would be to either get this replacement kit and swap out the parts, or send the unit back to us for replacement or repair.
