SpitJack Spit Forks and Accessories Sizing Guide

SpitJack offers forks and other accessories as replacements for the rotisseries we sell but also for anyone who needs them for a spit they have from another manufacturer or one they have made themselves. But how do you know that your spit will fit with our forks? Below is a guide that will help you decide.

  1. Measure “X” on your spit rod. Use a caliper if you have one. If not, any measuring tape will do.
Try to do this as accurately as possible and always “round up.”
  2. Look up your “X” measurement on the chart below to see the corresponding “Y” value. That will give you the accurate dimension needed if to see your spit will fit into our forks.

Our forks have a 1.09” inside dimension, which means (technically) any size smaller will fit. However,  it is always a good idea to leave a little “tolerance,” just in case.

*This size is too small and not recommended for our forks. Try onegrill.com for smaller size forks.
**This is the most common size for small rotisserie kits found on popular charcoal and propane grills.

Note: In case this guide did not cover your spit size, the formulas for calculating the fit are: hexagon – Y=2X, square – Y=X√2, round – Y=X.
