Even if you eat (whole) turkey only on the winter holidays, you've probably had it cooked every which way - roasted, stuffed, smoked, deep fried - and they all can be excellent. Variety is nice though and we need new things to keep things interesting.
A rotisserie turkey isn't a new idea but you don't see it too often. Maybe its because the turkey is too big for most grill rotisserie options or maybe its just that a lot of folks don't have rotisseries at all - I'm not sure. but let me assure you:
"A spit roasted turkey is the best bird you will ever eat."
It could be the "self-basting" or the low and slow cooking that's needed (I vote for that) but whatever, spit cooking is just what a turkey needs to keep it juicy and make it tasty. So, if you want a new challenge for the old holiday feast, try spit roasting a turkey. We have a couple of good options below. Please call if you want some more options or advice. We would also like to hear any suggestions or experiences you have had on the subject.
The new way to cook turkey may be one of the oldest!
