Finding a motor to slowly turn a large unbalanced load of meat is not an easy task. There are lot of engineering, design and manufacturing and safety considerations that are more important than you might think. A lot of people try to figure it out on their own and use motors and other materials that they have access to (e.g. an old washing machine motor). These can work just fine if you really know what you are doing or you just get lucky.
